Nick and Barbara live in an adorable house they purchased recently in Uptown Maumee. It was important to them to have their engagement session in the historic town they call home! We love incorporating personal places into sessions so we were immediately on board! We met at Dales  (one of the local spots the couple frequents) the other night to chat and get “warmed up” for the session. Such a great, historical bar! Then we stepped out back and wandered through the adorable little area behind Dales to get the session started. I love it back there! So much character with all the cute nooks, brick and greenery. While heading back towards their house just a few blocks away to change, we stopped at two more historical buildings the couple loves. They run by them often!  The John Pauken Broom Co has now been turned into a home. How cool! I want to knock on the door so badly and ask for a tour!

After Nick and Barbara changed into their second outfit we drove down to a secret spot on the river that I just love! You can get out on the rocks and its just stunning at sunset. Between this perfect “Barbie and Ken” couple and the river at sunset, we were in HEAVEN! Don’t worry I told them they are our “Barbie and Ken” couple and they were flattered. 😉

We eventually ended the night in front of the Maumee theater. Barbaras only specific request for the photos was that we get one at night in front of the Historic Maumee Theater! I’ve dodged traffic for pictures before so I figured why not! 😉

I hope you enjoy these peaks at some of our favorite moments from Nick and Barbaras engagement session! We cannot wait for the wedding you tw0!
